Alumacoat-WR is a specially formulated 2 part Epoxy resin based coating comprising of hydrophobic micro-fine Ceramic powders. It is a smooth low friction coating designed to protect metals against corrosion and can withstand maximum temperature of 150 OC (302 OF).

Suitable Substrates

Ferrous and non-Ferrous Metals.

Areas of Application

Fan Propellers, Pump shafts, Pump housing, Flanges, Solar water tanks, Ovens, Chemical handling pumps, Butterfly Valves, etc.

Surface preparation

For optimal performance roughen the surface by means of sand blasting. In case not feasible, roughen with a sand paper (60/80 grit), a wire brush, machine brush or angle grinder.

Clean the surface with a vacuum cleaner or air gun to remove any loose particles.

Remove any grease or oil from the surface to be coated using Trichloroethylene (TCE)

Recommended Thickness 0.8 – 1.0 mm
Coverage 0.4 kg / m2 for 0.4-0.6 mm thick coat (Sprayed)
